Tenacious Law Firm Celebrates Five Year Anniversary
Whitehead Law Offices Experience Growth Through Compassion
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (November 25, 2013) - At the height of the economic depression in 2008, Florida attorney, Patrick Whitehead, took a leap of faith. At the time, he was employed as University Counsel for Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. The University, facing necessary budget cuts due to the recession that all non-profits were facing, and as a last-ditch measure, had to reduce its workforce. Patrick knew these cuts were coming, and in an act of selflessness, resigned from his position. In so doing, multiple jobs were preserved and several employees were kept from losing their jobs. He then opened a solo practitioner law firm with just one client: Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Fast forward five years, and Patrick Whitehead is no longer a solo attorney. Whitehead Law Offices has matured into a respected boutique firm which concentrates in the areas of trust and estates as well as non-profit entity representation with a robust roster of clients.
With seven professionals on staff, including paralegals, administrative staff and additional lawyers, the firm is a proud member of the West Palm Beach business and civic communities, engaging in activities which empower the local economy as well as support important community-based endeavors. Whitehead Law Offices has supported, through resources and time, organizations for adults and children such as Gulfstream Goodwill, Junior Achievement, Susan G. Komen, and the Rehabilitation Center, over the years.
Patrick Whitehead credits the success of the firm to the values in which he lives by. “Honesty, compassion and excellence are the cornerstones on which I built this office,” he states. “The kind of law we practice [trust and estate] often involve working with families who are going through very difficult times in their lives. Love, loss, sickness, and death are often party to the situation at some time. It is absolutely essential that we are not simply counsel and lawyers to our clients --- but that we’re compassionate human beings. People who empathize and truly care for our fellow man. That is why I believe we have succeeded.”
